Bio: Ann Stevens serves as senior director of Maritime Undersea, a business within Boeing Defense, Space & Security’s (BDS) Autonomous Systems division. Primarily based in Huntington Beach, Calif., and Herndon, Va., Maritime Undersea develops and delivers uncrewed platforms and mission solutions to a variety of customers and includes the wholly-owned subsidiary Liquid Robotics. She also serves as the Herndon site leader. Prior to leading the Maritime Undersea business, Stevens was director of Advanced Mission Solutions. In this role, she was responsible for the execution and growth of programs spanning the development and delivery of collection, communication, and cyber security systems, as well as the design, development, and sustainment of operation centers, that enable mission operations for a variety of customers. Stevens started her career at Boeing in the Potomac Region in 2002. Before her assignments within Autonomous Systems, she spent two years as the program manager of a mission ground system program within Boeing’s Satellite Systems division, and 13 years in various engineering and project management positions within the Commercial Satellite Operations and Ground Systems program area. Her commercial and government development and operations efforts included the development of an Iridium GPS-aiding Signal in Space and the Iridium NEXT ground system. She also led strategic capture efforts for the Commercial Satellite Systems organization to expand its business in commercial constellation mission system development and long-term operations and maintenance to new customers. Stevens graduated from the Boeing Network & Space Systems Emerging Leaders Development Program in 2016. She has maintained the Project Management Professional certification since 2009, and is a Boeing Designated Expert in Requirements Quality. She is an active member of the Intelligence National Security Alliance (INSA), serves on the Association for Unmanned Vehicle Systems International’s (AUVSI) Maritime Advocacy Committee, and is Executive Champion of the Potomac Region’s chapter of Boeing Women Inspiring Leadership (BWIL). Stevens received a bachelor’s degree in aerospace engineering from Virginia Tech. While working as a Boeing engineer, she obtained a master’s degree in organizational management from The George Washington University.
