Dr. Yao (Yolanda) Fu joined the Kevin T. Crofton Department of Aerospace and Ocean Engineering in 2021. Prior to that, she was an assistant professor in the Department of Aerospace Engineering & Engineering Mechanics at the University of Cincinnati from 2017 to 2021. Dr. Fu received her Ph.D. degree in mechanical engineering at the University of Pittsburgh. She conducted her postdoctoral studies at multiple places, including University of South Carolina, University of Colorado Boulder, and Oak Ridge National Laboratory. Dr. Fu’s research interests lie in the area of computationally guided prediction and evaluation of materials degradation under harsh environment and innovative materials design and manufacturing.
