She provided leadership in a variety of roles including Deputy Chief Engineer supporting the integration of the RL10 engine into a new rocket design, Investigation Lead for a major engine test anomaly, and an IPT lead for defense programs. She has been in the position since August 2018 and has received multiple internal awards for her technical leadership, as well as The Engineer’s Council 2021 Outstanding Engineering Achievement Merit Award.

Prior to her current role, Sade spent 10 years in Flight Test Engineering at Sikorsky Aircraft. Her more notable roles included CH-53K Aircraft Test Director Supervisor and Test Director for the VH-92 Risk Reduction Program. Sade has a Bachelor of Science in Aerospace Engineering from Virginia Tech, a Masters of Science in Aerospace Engineering from Penn State University, and an MBA from Florida Tech.

Outside of the office, Ms. Morris has remained deeply connected to Virginia Tech. Over the years, she has faithfully served as a member of the AOE Advisory Board, provided valuable feedback as a judge to our senior capstone design teams, and acted as an ambassador for the department on Giving Day. She is a tireless advocate for women in engineering and is committed to professional service as demonstrated by her contributions to the American Helicopter Society and the Society of Flight Test Engineers. Moreover, she looks for every chance to mentor and provide opportunities for engineering students both at Virginia Tech and Penn State.
