The Model Building Center located in Randolph 4Q is a fabrication facility for undergraduate and graduate students. The facility has a large layup table, several vacuum pumps, numerous composite materials/fabrics, fume hood, and many other items used for fabrication of composites. The room also hosts basic tools and equipment such as a drill press and band saw. The facility has a 50 Watt Laser and Engraver for cutting materials (e.g. balsa, acrylic, etc.) up to a ¼” thick.
